CHIMP OR CHIMPANZEE TOUR AND QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK SAFARI (4 DAYS)

A Chimp tour could be ideal in Queen elizabeth.Queen Elizabeth National Park covering 1978 square km is Uganda’s most popular park and has easy access. The park is mainly open Savannah, studded in some areas with a dense cover of acacia and euphorbia trees. The park also has large swamp areas around L.George as well as forests like Maramagambo to the South.
It is home to the famous tree climbing lions found in the Ishasha sector, the Uganda Kob, elephant, baboon, buffalo, hippos, Chimpanzees-------.Over 600 species of birds have been recorded, making it a birders haven. Species recorded include black bee-eater, the shoebill stork, 11 types of King fisher, 54 raptors which include eagle and falcon. In the Northern part of the park is the crater area, one of the most scenic parts. To the east is Chambura Gorge where visitors can watch a variety of primates, including a Chimpanzee tour.

Day 1:Meet and greet at respective accommodations and then drive west to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We shall have a stop over at the Equator for photographs and then continue through the volcanic formations of the Western Rift Valley towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. Lunch will be had in Mbarara.An evening game drive once in the park will be done.

Dinner and overnight at accommodation of your choice.

Day 2:An early morning game drive will give you a chance to experience the diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest which are home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. The game drive will offer an opportunity to see buffaloes, elephants, leopards, lions, and giant forest hog, deffassa waterbuck---.
The afternoon is reserved for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, which offers an excellent platform for photography and game viewing. The bird life is abundant and colorful.

Dinner and overnight at accommodation of your choice.

Day 3:Visit L.Katwe Salt works where salt is mined using old centuries traditional methods  and in the and then transfer to Jacana lodge.

Day 4:We visit Maramagambo forest that offers you a chance to experience a tropical rain forest and catch a glimpse of a variety of primates like chimps. While here you can also visit the bats cave and the “blue lake”.

Drive back to Kampala.
Don’t forget to carry along cameras and binoculars.

Price includes return ground transport from Kampala, an English speaking driver/guide, full board accommodation, park entrance fees for both passenger and vehicle, game drive, boat trip on Kazinga channel, nature walk fees but excludes all beverages, items of a personal nature, souvenirs and tips.
