LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK (3 DAYS)
It is one of Uganda’s smaller parks and extends over 260 kms squared of undulating landscape. Altitude here ranges from 1220m to 1828m above Sea level.20% of the park’s surface area consists of wetland habitats, the most important of these being Lake Mburo. The remainder of the park mainly consists of open savannah and acacia woodland. Much as Lake Mburo doesn’t boast of the big five, it offers excellent game viewing where you will likely see many different large mammal species in a day as would be for the case in any other parks in Uganda. Species in Lake Mburo are not easily observed else where in Uganda. It is the only park in the country that supports a population of Impala, the antelope and one of the three parks where the Zebra occurs.L.Mburo has 315 species of birds recorded .It is most likely the best place in Uganda to watch/see acacia-associated birds. The swamps have six papyrus endemics resident, which include the papyrus gonolek, blue-headed coucal, white-winged, and papyrus yellow warblers.
