3 day Murchison falls National Park tour
Murchison Falls National Park is the largest protected area in Uganda covering 3,840 square kms. The park derives its name from the Murchison falls where the mighty river Nile explodes through a narrow gorge and flows down to become a placid river. The park boasts of abundant flora and fauna to the delight of the visitor. The vegetation is characterized by savannah, riverine and woodland. Wildlife includes lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda Kobs, Chimpazees and a variety of birds-450 species identified in the park including the elusive shoebill. Accommodation in the park includes Sambiya river lodge located on the southern bank of the park, Sarova Paraa lodge on the Northbank, and Nile safari camp, located in the adjacent game reserve area. Day 1:Meet and greet at respective accommodation then transfer to Jinja for whole day rafting.

Day 2:A visit to the source of the Nile in uganda then unto Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 3:Early morning game drives on the tracks your experienced guide will choose to see game which includes giraffe, antelope, lion, elephant, Uganda Kob and many more. The afternoon will be for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, hippos and crocodiles are abundant here, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks and a variety of birds e.g. herons, cormorants, ducks, bee-eaters, fish eagles, kingfishers will be seen and if lucky the shoebill. Actually this is one of the highlights of Murchison falls National Park.

Day 3:Depart for Budongo forest (Kaniyo Pabidi) for Chimpanzee tracking or bird watching/nature walk. Return to Kampala stopping over for lunch in Masindi.
Bring a camera and don’t forget binoculars.
