KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

Kidepo Valley National Park lies in the far Northwest of Uganda. This little visited park is one of the most exciting destinations in the country.” It harbors scenery unsurpassed in any other park in East Africa “The Park covers an area of 1.442 Km Squared and has an altitude range of between 914M and 2.750M above sea level. Dominant habitat here is the open or highly wooded Savannah, interspersed with patches of montane forest, ripavian woodland, thick miombo woodland, borassus palms and rocky koppies

Kidepo protects a variety of large mammals with 80 species recorded including 28 species found nowhere else in the country. The bird checklist stands at 465 species out of which more than 70 of the birds listed haven’t been recorded in any other park. Animals in the park include eleophants, lions, zebras, giraffe, eland, cape buffalo, bushbauck, deffassa waterbuck as well as carnivore species unique to kidepo and Karamoja region which include the bat eared fox, striped hyna, aard wolf, caracal, cheetah and hunting dog. The birds of the park include the ostrich, Kori bustard (associated with the region) Egyptian Vulture and pygmy falcon, giant Abyssinian hornbill, red-billed, yellow-billed and Jackson’s hornbills.

Day 1:Meet and greet at respective accommodation then transfer to Entebbe International Airport for a chattered light aircraft to Kidepo We arrive at Apoka logde where our accommodation is reserved. The afternoon is spent relaxing by the verandah of the logde while enjoying the panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and some of the animals. Adventure begins in the evening where we shall drive along the Narus River Valley for game viewing. Elephants, herds of buffaloes jackals, possibly lions and many other animals may be sighted.

Day 2:We take an early breakfast and go for a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. A variety of animals may be seen walking around including the largest bird-the ostrich. Have lunch and brace your self with a real life experience emanating from getting into contact with the Karimajong culture displayed by the natives of this area at Karenna and Kadepo.You will meet elders and whom you will interact with. It is a cultural evening-many new things probably you haven’t seen in life or heard of await you hear.

Day 3:After breakfast we visit the bird hide and enjoy a guided nature walk then return to the logde for lunch before we board the air craft for Kampala arriving in the evening.

Price includes return ground transport from Kampala, accommodation as chosen on full board basis, park entrance fees, and nature walk fees and an English-speaking driver guide but excludes all beverages, items of a personal nature, souvenirs, tips and airline return ticket.

Visit the Ssese Islands

Ssese Islands is composed of 84 different Islands and found in Lake Victoria.Whereas some of them are large others are small and without human populations. The pay of Lutoboka has increasingly become an attractive site for visitors and tourists in search of a very quiet and relaxing place to stay and enjoy sunbathing as well as swimming in uncontaminated water. The Islands are known for their untouched tropical rain forests and varieties of bird species. You can practice spot fishing here, hire boats or canoes to move around or even bicycles to explore inside the forests.

Day 1:We leave Kampala for Entebbe pier at Nakiwogo to enable us board the ship which leaves at 2.00 p.m for Lutoboka bay in Bugala Island.The voyage is three hours.

Day 2:You eiyher relax on the beach,as you swim in the waters of Lake Victora or ride a bicycle to explore the forest and other sites ,or simply walk while enjoying what nature has to offer,the birds and monkeys of this big Island.

Day 3:We leave at 8.00a.m by Ship arriving at Entebbe after three hours where we either stay in Entebbe or transfer to Kampala.
