BWINDI GORILLA TOUR ADVENTURE IN THE IMPENETRABLE III
Day 1:Meet and greet at respective accommodations after your breakfast. Depart for Bwindi driving southwest and across the Equator. The drive takes you through Savannah grasslands seeing local homesteads and banana plantations as well as herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long curving horns.
Dinner and overnight at accommodation of your choice.
Day 2:we follow the Muzabajiro loop trail, which starts near the park office and goes through regenerating vegetation along the forest egde. Once in the forest, the trail crosses Muzabijiro creek and begins ascending through high canopy forest to the open slope of Rukubira hill. The area is lush with vines and silvery trunks of dead trees, which offset breath taking views of Bwindi forest, the western rift valley and the Virunga volcanoes. There is chance of these views at any time though we recommend the wetter months (February-May and September-November) because the air is relatively clear of smoke and dust. The trail then descends Rukubira and returns to camp via its original route.
Difficulty: Moderate
Hiking time: 3hrs
The afternoon/morning will be for a Buhoma village tourist walk, which takes up to three hours and is managed by the local community and proceeds received here are ploughed into the community to improve on their welfare. You will be introduced to a typical rural homestead, a visit to a local traditional healer, a banana beer brewing demonstration and much more. The evening will allow you to participate in captivating traditional performances presented by women and orphan groups. Proceeds from these go directly to improve the welfare of the families around the park.
Dinner and overnight at accommodation of your choice.
Day 3:Depart for Kampala via L.Bunyonyi.

Day 2:We do the Ivi river walk, which takes us south through the forest ascending and descending gently through beautiful areas of rain forest with several view points overlooking lush valleys. It is an important footpath of local people traveling to and from villages particularly on market days. Several hours of walking will bring you to the wide Ivi river which forms the parks’ southern boundary. Monkeys and numerous birds, and even duikers can be spotted on the trail, so walk quietly and be alert. The trail isn’t steep, but walking to the riverbank is a long hike. We walk with enough food, water and rain jacket.
