Day 1:Meet and greet at respective accommodations after your breakfast. Depart for Bwindi driving southwest and across the Equator. The drive takes you through Savannah grasslands seeing local homesteads and banana plantations as well as herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long curving horns.

Dinner and overnight at accommodation of your choice.

Day 2:We shall follow the Munyanga river trail, which begins at the end of the road in Buhoma at the forest edge and follows Bisenga creek till it joins the Munyanga River. This path follows the riverbank through regenerating vegetation with fine views of the river forest trees,flora and fauna. The trail forms a semi circle and returns us to the park office.

for bird watching we either depart early morning or late afternoon. The option is yours.

Difficulty: Easy

Time taken: 15-20 Minutes.

The afternoon/morning will be for a Buhoma village tourist walk, which takes up to three hours and is managed by the local community and proceeds received here are ploughed into the community to improve on their welfare. You will be introduced to a typical rural homestead, a visit to a local traditional healer, a banana beer brewing demonstration and much more. The evening will allow you to participate in captivating traditional performances presented by women and orphan groups. Proceeds from these go directly to improve the welfare of the families around the park.

Day 3:Depart for Kampala via L.Bunyonyi.

Day 1:Meet and greet at respective accommodations after your breakfast. Depart for Bwindi driving southwest and across the Equator. The drive takes you through Savannah grasslands seeing local homesteads and banana plantations as well as herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long curving horns.

We follow the waterfall trail which heads south and after 2kms we turn left on a winding forest path that crosses the Munyanga River three times. A moderate climb through the lush forest and tree ferns will bring us to a series of three waterfalls, the highest with a 33m-drop. The trail then loops back through the forest to re-cross the Munyanga River and join the road trail about 1.5 km from the park office. Many species of birds and monkeys may be seen on this popular hike.
